Nova Scotia: Being There

We took the ferry from St. John Maine across the Bay of Fundi to the southern end of Nova Scotia and landed in the town of Digby. Ferry had a nice office space, a bar, a restaurant, and I got a little work done before taking the rest of the day off to find a place to camp the Silver Surfer and check out the town of Digby.

Above: Digby Harbor and the fleet of workboats. A slice back in time to what our town of Annapolis used to be with watermen still making their living off the waters of Fundi Bay.

As we slowly made our way north towards Halifax, we spend the day at the Harvest Host Brewery where we took a ride in the countryside and returned for a Friday night with the locals and a live band and some small batch Nova Scotia beer and food.

Above: Almost to Halifax, we found a nice beach park to spend the night and take an afternoon ride. Nice roads with little people. We found the bootlegging, or spending the night in unauthorized campgrounds to be no problem in Nova Scotia. We usually always had a nice place to stay without paying any fees and few neighbors.
